April 2014 Workshop

This was our launch workshop.  We talked about technology and where it's going, and why everyone needs to learn how to code, and how many opportunities there are going to be in the near future for people with programming skills.

We showed you the Flappy Bird program and everyone got familiar with the Blockly drag and drop programming language. 

So if you missed this workshop, please take the following steps:

  1. Watch the 2 minute video at code.org.
  2. Play around with the Flappy Bird game and get comfortable with the Blockly language.
  3. Sign up for an account on code.org.  Once you set up your own user ID, near the bottom there is an option to associate with a class or teacher; please enter our class code there, which is KNCKQD.
